Delivery & Pickup Policy
The Flower Room delivers fresh flowers across many Sydney suburbs and offers in-store pickup from our Newtown shop.
Delivery area and charges
We deliver to a defined set of Sydney postcodes. The Delivery Charge depends on the delivery suburb and is calculated and shown at checkout once you enter the delivery address. If your address is outside our delivery area, no delivery option will appear at checkout — you are welcome to choose in-store pickup at 282 King Street, Newtown, or call us on 02 9550 3100 to discuss options.
Same-day delivery and cutoffs (Sydney time)
- Monday–Friday: order by 1pm for same-day delivery.
- Saturday–Sunday: order by 11am for same-day delivery.
- Orders placed after the cutoff are scheduled for the next available delivery day.
- Need something urgently after the cutoff? Call us on 02 9550 3100 and we’ll do our best to help.
Delivery window
Deliveries are made between 9am and 6pm on the delivery date. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery time within that window.
Incorrect or incomplete addresses
Please double-check the recipient’s address. If a delivery fails because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, a second delivery charge may apply to re-attempt delivery.
If no one is home
If the recipient is not home, our courier will, where it is safe to do so, leave the flowers in a safe, sheltered spot out of view from the street. If a safe spot is not available, the flowers will be returned to our shop and we will contact you or the recipient to arrange re-delivery or pickup. A re-delivery charge may apply.
Surprise deliveries and contacting the recipient
We try to keep gift deliveries a surprise. However, to complete a delivery we may need to contact the recipient by phone — for example, to gain access or arrange a suitable time.
In-store pickup
Pickup is available from 282 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042 during trading hours (Sun 9am–4pm, Mon–Wed 9am–5pm, Thu–Sat 9am–6pm). We’ll let you know when your order is ready.
Substitutions
Flowers are seasonal. Where necessary we may substitute flowers, foliage or containers with items of equal or greater value and a similar style. See our Terms of Service.
